Real Networking Happens at IDNOG 8: Building Cyber Security and Data Protection in the AI Era

Jakarta, July 27, 2023 - Networking is not just about fiber optic or Wi-Fi; real networking is happening at the 8th Indonesia Network Operators Group (IDNOG) Workshop and Conference (IDNOG'08) held on July 27, 2023. In a world where you may feel safe, lurking risks are ever-present. At IDNOG 8, the focus was on cybersecurity and data protection in the AI era, where discussions on security issues brought together the Indonesia Network Operators Group (IDNOG) as a community of network engineers in Indonesia.

IDNOG 8 Workshop & Conference witnessed participation from 634 participants representing various countries, including prominent Internet Service Providers (ISPs), held at the prestigious 5-star Raffles Hotel. Attendees had the opportunity to meet distinguished individuals like Michael Takeuchi, who presented on "RFC2622, Routing Policy Specification Language & RPKI in Internet Exchange." The conference also featured speakers covering a wide range of topics, including Cryptographic Tools in Web Security, Next-Generation SP Unified Bearer Network, AI in Networking, and much more.

The esteemed panel of speakers included industry experts from organizations like Google, Huawei, APNIC, ARISTA, and Grand Stream, who shared insights and expertise on current and emerging trends in networking technologies.

The conference also hosted a special talk show on Cyber Security, featuring esteemed panelists such as Farah Fitria Rahmayanti, Head of Digital Business at Peruri; Gildas Arvin Deograt, Chairman of FORMASI (Forum Keamanan Siber dan Informasi) and Senior Cybersecurity Consultant; Dr. Martianus Frederic Ezerman, CEO and Resident Cryptographer at Sandhiguna, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Muhammad Salahuddien Manggalanny, Deputy of Operation CSIRT.ID; and Semuel A. Pangerapan, Director General of Aptika, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, with Parlindungan Marius as the Moderator.
